Hello dear pinkpiggers!

PinkPigland is sunny this time of life and the few songs still available are being reserved quickly.
Over the next few weeks I will be posting the exact plans I have for the project, how and when the update will be released, etc. etc. All I can say now is that an end of 2009 release is planned leaving 2010 for a few celebrations around the world.

I will also post here some writings about the inside story of the project because I would like to show the true soul behind it: Pink Pig is not a mammoth tribute album, not at all.

Hello everyone in PinkPigland!

Sorry for this long absence: the pig was in bed curing his leg to be able to run on the streets again. And he is, finally, doing well. I apologize from the heart, but sometimes real life hits you hard and you have to switch off your dreams for a while.

I know I asked for your help, patience and generosity many times before, and I don’t promise this is gonna be the last time I am doing so. You don’t have to promise while into a dream because if you do you take the risk of waking-up forever. Let’s keep the dream alive, this dream of sounds and thoughts, this door to our collective childhood, this healing cloud. Push the train with me, please: we can make it move, we are gonna make it slide into his pink flight.

So, here we go for it, for the whole thing: let’s cover all the new album and singles and complete our beloved Pink Pig Atlas!

WHAT IS PINK PIG?

The Pink Pig Project was conceived as an homage to The Cure from its fans around the world presenting to the band the "Concise Pink Pig Atlas: The Whole Cure in the Mirror" (a 14 disc set with versions of each song ever penned by Robert Smith and The Cure, including those never officially edited) as an end of the millennium gift. Without any purpose of lucre, 500 numbered sets were pressed and offered to all those who pre-ordered and later bought them for the strict cost of manufacture. As the Concise Pink Pig Atlas was issued in the year 2000 we´re now making the first project´s update which includes all the Robert and The Cure´s songs after Bloodflowers to the present day, including the ones to appear in the new Cure album and its singles.
